Membership Levels

ORDINARY:

 Person, partnerships and corporations:

  • doing business within Nova Scotia engaged in roadbuilding and heavy construction
  • perform the bulk of their repair work within the province
  • make all possible purchases within the province and give preference for those purchases to Associate members
  • have satisfactorily completed under contract, a minimum of ten miles of highway work for the Province or a Municipality thereof, costing at least $2,000,000.00
  • have been engaged in such work in the Province for at least three years

Fees (per year + HST)

Group Volume Dues
Group I Less than $5,000,000 $2000
Group II $5,000,000 - $20,000,000 $4000
Group III $20,000,000 - $30,000,000 $6000
Group IV $30,000,000 - $40,000,000 $8000
Group V More than $40,000,000 $10,000

AFFILIATE:

Affiliate membership may be granted by the Board of Directors at its sole and absolute discretion to persons, partnerships and corporations, who are qualified to do business in Nova Scotia and whose business or type of work is roadbuilding or heavy construction but who in the opinion of the Board, are not yet qualified for Ordinary membership.

Subsidiary companies may be eligible to join the Association as Affiliate members, providing their parent company is a current Ordinary member in good standing.

Fee: $1200.00 per year + HST

ASSOCIATE:

Persons, partnerships, corporations (whether incorporated or unincorporated):

  • who are dealers in construction equipment or engaged in professional construction services or provide road building construction supplies
  • who have been active in said business for a minimum of three years

Fee: $450.00 per year + HST
